Recent uptime for GoldFigure.co.uk
Unplanned hosting downtime
At 2am on 15/July we experienced an outage on our server based in London. This turned out to be a serious hardware failure which has now been fixed (2pm). Despite the issue we are still averaging more than 98% uptime for the last 30 days.
Whilst downtime is inevitable (nobody can guarantee perfect uptime) the 12 hour loss of service is not acceptable and I will be taking this up with UltimaHosts to ensure that there is better provision of to circumvent this in future. To their credit, UltimaHosts have provided an entirely new server in less than 12 hours which is impressive in isolation to the impact it has had to GoldFigure and our customers.
