Make sure your job seeking email has impact

I received an email last night completely out of the blue. I have no idea where the guy picked up my email address so dropped a quick reply to let him down and ask how he came to email me. Since he replied quick to me I knew he was real and wanted to help him if I could.

I am supportive of people who try hard to find work so gave him some tips to make sure his email is not deleted and his CV hits the top of the pile... hope they are useful to someone else as well!

Offer an unsubscribe page without losing a potential customer

I received a completely unsolicited email this morning from Cheltenham Racecourse promoting their hospitality services. I only read the headline before deciding I didn't want to hear from them again so found the unsubcribe link. The unsubscribe page that followed was the best I've seen. They have kept my interest and I thought that in itself is well worth a blog article!

Send KashFlow invoice permalinks to your clients

We have clients who ring up to explain that the reason why they are late paying invoices is that they have 'cough' lost them. Keen to remove that particular excuse we are thinking up a way of sending clients a link to a single invoice or even a link to ALL their invoices which can be bookmarked for future reference.

As dedicated users of KashFlow we can easily email invoices to clients, even from a phone, so it never takes us long to remind clients of their debts. KashFlow doesn't yet support a way of sending clients a 'permalink' where they can go fetch a copy of their invoices on demand. We are building a simple solution that is completely secure and will provide just such a service.
